Among employee gifts, some are forbidden, which are those given to an employee with the aim of currying favor or influencing them. And among them are those that are permissible and desirable in Islamic law, which engender love, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Give gifts to each other, and you will love each other."

The gift mentioned in the question appears to be among the forbidden gifts, because the customer did not give gifts to the employee before the transaction, which indicates that the motive was the employee's position and the customer's need for their services. Therefore, it is not permissible for the employee to benefit from it except with the permission of their employer.
