Supplication (Du'a) is a great act of worship through which a servant turns to his Lord, asking Him for whatever he desires concerning matters of this world and the Hereafter, without specifying particular supplications with specific wordings. This is because doing so would be an attribution of falsehood to Allah and His Messenger and an innovation in religion. The best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

The Shari'ah does not contain specific supplications for memorizing the Qur'an, attracting sustenance, or strengthening memory. Rather, there are specific means that aid in these matters.
