Does blood coming out of the nose after blowing it necessitate re-performing ablution?

Bleeding from the nose does not invalidate ablution according to the Maliki and Shafi'i schools, and this is the most preponderant opinion. This view is based on the principle that the default state is non-invalidation, and invalidation is not established except by a legal proof. It is also supported by the actions of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, who prayed despite bleeding. Meanwhile, the Hanafis and Hanbalis hold that it does invalidate ablution under certain conditions.
