How can I forgive those who have wronged me and caused me psychological harm, and get rid of the preoccupation with these disturbing thoughts, to ensure that my good deeds do not go to waste, especially since we are in Ramadan?
The worldly life, in the sight of Allah, is not worth the wing of a mosquito. Therefore, one should not be preoccupied with it to the detriment of matters concerning the Hereafter. It is preferable to pardon those who have wronged you, seeking the countenance of Allah, for He (the Almighty) says: "And that you pardon is nearer to righteousness," and "Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you?" By pardoning injustice and removing worldly worries, you can focus on your prayers and worship. When worldly thoughts arise, replace them by contemplating verses and remembrances, and recall standing before Allah, His names and attributes, His promise and His threat, that these may make you forget worldly concerns. And continue to supplicate that Allah may turn away worldly thoughts from you.
