Am I entitled to reclaim the money I contributed with to purchase supplies for the guesthouse where I used to stay with my colleagues, after I was transferred from it?

If a group of people jointly purchased furniture for a work lounge, then whoever intended to donate it cannot go back and take his share upon leaving, due to the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “The one who takes back his gift is like a dog that vomits and then returns to its vomit.” As for whoever did not intend to donate, he is a partner and has the right to take his share. If the partners agree on a specific division, there is no harm. If they do not agree, the furniture is appraised, and the remaining partners or an outsider buy it. If they refuse, they are compelled to sell it so that he can take his share. If these items are appraised, and the former colleague had donated his share to the lounge, then the value of the items is divided among the total number of partners. If the departing partner did not explicitly state that he left his share to the partners or to the lounge: then it appears that it belongs to the lounge, and they have the right to benefit from it.
