Is the correct wording of the Hadith "The fewest inhabitants of Paradise are women," or "The women who will enter Paradise are like this piebald crow," or "The unveiled women who will enter Paradise are like this piebald crow"? And do these Ahadith include disbelievers or only believers?

The phrase "al-ghurab al-a'sam" (the piebald raven) refers to a raven with white wings or legs. A sound hadith, narrated by Imam Ahmad and others, states that few women will enter Paradise, and their number there will be like the number of piebald ravens among ravens.

Another hadith, narrated by Al-Bayhaqi, restricts women to those who display themselves (mutabarrijat), but its chain of narration does not contradict the previous hadith.

The abundance of women in Hell is established by sound hadiths. This abundance may be due to showing off (tabarruj) or ingratitude towards their husbands. The intent is the scarcity of women entering Paradise initially, before disobedient believers are brought out of Hell.

The purpose of these texts is to warn and to raise women's aspirations for good deeds and charity, not to instill despair, for Allah has promised the righteous woman reward just as He has promised the righteous man.
