Is it necessarily the case that whoever Allah has enabled to memorize His Book, He has intended good for them, regardless of their status?

Whoever Allah grants success in memorizing the Qur'an, seeking His countenance, is among those for whom Allah intends good, given the virtues of memorizing and teaching the Qur'an, as stated by the Prophet (peace be upon him): "The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it," and his saying: "Recite the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection."

However, one must be cautious of memorizing the Qur'an and then violating its rulings, for it would then be an argument against him, not for him, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The Qur'an is a proof for you or against you." Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen explained that the Qur'an is a proof for you if you use it to draw closer to Allah and fulfill its rights by believing its news, obeying its commands, and avoiding its prohibitions. It is against you if you disgrace it and abandon it in word, meaning, and action.
