What is the ruling on prohibited photography, and does it include videos downloaded from YouTube and channels downloaded to the television, and what is the ruling on praying in front of the television?

Photographic imaging of animate beings is permissible in principle, and this includes still photography and video. There is no objection to watching videos of animate beings on YouTube or television, provided they adhere to Sharia guidelines. As for praying in front of a television, if it is turned off, there is no reprehensibility in that. However, if it is turned on, it is disliked.
