Is it forbidden to work in the field of 3D graphics, which involves animating characters' mouths and superimposing human voices onto them, if the work contains soft female voices or laughter, on the pretext that a woman's voice is 'awrah, even if the work is directed at children and may be viewed by adults?

Scholars have differed on the ruling regarding photography. Some have prohibited it, while others have permitted it on condition that the photographer does not alter the features of the original image. They have also differed on the ruling regarding animated drawings, with some permitting them, especially those produced for children. As for a woman's voice, the preponderant opinion is that it is not inherently awrah (nakedness), but it is forbidden to make it apparent if it is done in a manner that incites fitna (temptation) or if the listener derives pleasure from it. The prohibition against being soft in speech has been mentioned, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿So do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet.﴾ Therefore, it is not permissible to overlay a voice that contains softness in speech or laughter due to the fitna that may result from it.
