How can one restore the love of prayer and the feeling of guilt when delaying it, after getting rid of the obsessive whispers regarding prayer and ablution?
Prayer is the second pillar of Islam and the pillar of the religion. Observing it brings salvation to its practitioner. A Muslim must strive and seek Allah's help to perform prayer on time with devotion, and to distance himself from anything that distracts him from it. Whoever observes it has a covenant with Allah to enter Paradise, and whoever neglects it is deprived of that. It is the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Resurrection. If the soul is willing, engage it with supererogatory acts; if it turns away, then adhere to the obligatory acts. Among what helps in preserving prayer are: knowing its immense reward, associating with righteous women, attending lessons of knowledge, reciting the Qur'an and remembering Allah, remembering the Hereafter, and frequently performing good deeds.
