Is Umrah valid for someone from another country who intended to perform it while traveling to Saudi Arabia to search for work?

It is permissible for someone who travels to the Kingdom seeking employment to perform 'Umrah or Hajj, based on the Almighty’s saying: "There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord." It is preferable to first sincerely intend to perform the ritual, and then to seek employment.

If his intention is to perform 'Umrah during the same trip, he must enter into ihram from the miqat. However, if his intention is to perform 'Umrah at some unspecified future time, then he is not required to enter into ihram and may enter Makkah without it, as mentioned by Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen.
