Are these recurring visions and dreams—which include seeing prophets and hearing calls from God, experiencing a flood that does not harm the visionary, seeing a white man commanding her to call out "Ya Dha al-Jalali wal-Ikram" (O Lord of Majesty and Honor), and seeing "Jibreeli" (Gabriel) sitting while hearing a call from God choosing her—are these considered true visions, and can a woman who describes herself as "poor before God and weak in faith" see all these visions?

Seeing Allah and the Prophets in a dream is permissible, and scholars have agreed on this, differing only on some details. The vision of a Prophet is true if the viewer sees him in his known description, for Satan cannot assume his form. A good dream is considered a part of prophecy, but it is not a source of legislation. Rather, it must be presented to the Sharia; what conforms to it is accepted, and what does not is rejected. One should not assert selection (by God) based on a dream, especially if it contains phrases that suggest revelation, as that could be from the inspiration of devils, because revelation ceased with the death of the Prophet. A Muslim should engage in religious knowledge and the study of the texts of the two revelations (Quran and Sunnah).
