Is it permissible for a Muslim soldier to obey military orders, such as surveillance, espionage, suppression, and fighting, if they are not in the interest of civil society, and what should he do if his military environment is corrupt and he is forced to associate with them?

It is not permissible to obey anyone in disobeying Allah; for "there is no obedience in disobedience to Allah, rather obedience is in what is right." And whoever obeys another in committing a forbidden act such as spying, injustice, or killing, is sinful and disobedient to Allah, and bears the burden of what he has committed. The bankrupt person on the Day of Judgment is he who comes with many good deeds but has wronged others, so his good deeds are taken to compensate for their injustices, and if they are exhausted, their sins are cast upon him. Therefore, whoever is subjected to such orders must leave the job and seek a permissible alternative.
