What is the ruling on combining prayers for a woman who has a six-month-old child whom she is not breastfeeding?

The fundamental principle is the obligation to perform prayer within its prescribed time, unless there is a legitimate شرعي excuse such as travel, illness, or fear. Hanbali jurists permitted combining prayers for a breastfeeding woman due to the hardship of frequent impurity. However, a woman who does not breastfeed her child has no permission to combine prayers, unless she is constantly with her child and frequently exposed to impurity. Nevertheless, the majority of jurists hold that frequent exposure to impurity is not a valid excuse permitting the combination of prayers, and acting upon the opinion of the majority is more preferable and cautious.
