Is it permissible for a husband to divorce his wife because her face is "ugly" to him, especially when there are children, and her family also confirms that her face is "ugly" to them?
Everything that occurs in the universe happens by Allah's decree and destiny. Therefore, a Muslim must be content and submit to whatever befalls them, be it good or evil, and beware of forbidden ill omens and pessimism. Some hadiths indicate that ill omens might be associated with a woman, and scholars have interpreted this in several ways: that Allah might make her dwelling a cause of harm or destruction, or that her ill omen could be in her barrenness, her sharp tongue, or her being exposed to suspicion. Since the wife has spent a long time with him and borne him children, it is neither chivalrous nor in the best interest of the children to divorce her. Rather, the husband should be patient and seek reward from Allah.
