Do Surah 6, verse 14 and Surah 7, verse 143 contradict each other in the Quran?

There is no contradiction in the Qur’an, and any discrepancy that might occur to the reader’s mind can be resolved through research and by asking people of knowledge. The meaning of "first" in the two verses refers to relative precedence, i.e., being the first to embrace faith in the time of the Prophet and his community or his land, not absolute precedence. For the Prophet is the first to receive revelation, believe in it, and follow its teachings, and he is the first to submit to the specific Islam with which Allah sent him.
