Why did Allah separate the Qur’an from the Hadith?
The Quran is the word of Allah Almighty, both in its wording and meaning. He revealed it for the purpose of demonstrating its miraculous nature and for worship. Some of its verses are definitive (muhkamat), while others are allegorical (mutashabihat). As for the Hadith, some are Qudsi (sacred), while others are from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in both wording and meaning. The Sunnah clarifies the Book. The Quran is miraculous and its recitation is an act of worship, unlike the Hadith. And Allah Almighty is not to be questioned about what He does.
