Is the absence of affection a reason to reject marriage to a girl of good character and religious commitment?

It is best for a man to marry one whom he finds agreeable and towards whom his heart inclines, so that affection may endure between them, for Allah Almighty says: "Then marry those that please you of [other] women." It is not obligatory for a man to obey his mother in marrying someone he does not desire, for parents do not have the right to compel their child to marry someone he does not wish. The mere absence of affection alone is not a sufficient reason to turn away from marriage unless there is an aversion, for affections develop between spouses through long companionship and frequent interaction. However, if an aversion exists, then it is better to turn away from her.
