What is the ruling on making up prayers missed since the age of puberty, and is it permissible to multiply prayers in the future as a form of making them up?

Prayer is the pillar of faith, the second of its pillars, and the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment. One who abandons prayer must repent and persevere in it, and immediately make up for all missed prayers after reaching the age of accountability, as much as possible, at any time of the day or night.

Whoever owes many prayers must dedicate their time to making them up, and only neglect this for indispensable necessities, such as providing for their family and seeking obligatory knowledge. If making them up is difficult for them or hinders their livelihood, then they should make up one day's prayers each day.

Making up missed prayers must take precedence over supererogatory prayers. As for performing each obligatory prayer twice (a current prayer and a missed prayer alongside it), this should not be done because it delays making up the missed prayers; however, if one cannot do otherwise, there is no harm.
