Is love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, above love for every creature, such as the Throne, the Kaaba, Paradise, prayer, and faith?
Every Muslim must love the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, more than themselves, their families, their wealth, and all people, for he is the most noble and beloved of creation to Allah, and the best of all creatures. It is authentically reported that he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you will have faith until I am more beloved to him than his child, his father, and all people." And the verse: (Say: If your fathers and your sons and your brethren and your wives and your kinsfolk and the wealth which you have acquired, and the trade the slackness of which you fear, and dwellings which you love, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in His way, then wait till Allah brings His command to pass) (9:24) indicates the obligation of loving him and preferring it over the love of all other creatures.
