Is it permissible to pay off personal debts and the debts of relatives to banks using money from prohibited lotteries?

The lottery is a form of gambling, and money acquired through it is unlawful (haram) and must be disposed of by spending it on the poor, the needy, and charitable causes. It is not permissible for the one who acquired it to benefit from it himself, and he is obligated to repent. It is permissible to give it to poor relatives to settle their debts or purchase their necessities. If the one who acquired it is needy, it is permissible for him to take what suffices his need from this money and donate the remainder, according to Ibn al-Qayyim and Ibn Taymiyyah.
