Can a father take his daughters, whose ages range from 16 to 28, even though they will be psychologically and academically affected? And is a son considered disobedient if he legally demands that his father provide housing, increase his allowance, and give him Eidiyah and annual clothing allowance?

Adult male children are not subject to custody. As for adult females, the majority opinion is that they are given a choice in residence, while the Hanbalis believe that the father has a greater right to them. The judge's ruling resolves the dispute. The maintenance of daughters and sons who are unable to earn a living is obligatory upon the father according to what is customary. Demanding from the father what is sufficient for one's needs is not disobedience, despite the obligation to be dutiful to him. A loan with a stipulated increase is usury (riba), and a daughter riding alone with a driver is not permissible. The maintenance of needy brothers and sisters is obligatory upon the wealthy father, and if he refuses, the matter should be brought before the court. The custody of daughters requires a judge if the father requests it and the mother refuses. The questioner is advised to marry in compliance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) recommendation.
