What is the ruling on what I did, and what should I do, and what is the ruling on my fasting and prayers when I used to masturbate without performing ghusl, and what is the expiation for what I did, and what is the ruling on the two days during which I masturbated in the afternoon in Ramadan, and what is their expiation?
Masturbation is forbidden, and repentance from it is obligatory. If semen is discharged, ghusl (ritual bath) becomes obligatory. If the discharge of semen accompanies it, it invalidates the fast and necessitates ghusl for prayer. If no semen is discharged, then the prayer and fast remain valid. For one who masturbated out of ignorance regarding the obligation of ghusl or its invalidation of the fast, the majority of scholars obligate making up the fast. It is more cautious to make up the fast of the two days if semen was discharged. As for prayer, it is recommended to perform many supererogatory prayers. A girl may reach puberty before the age of fifteen by the appearance of signs of puberty.
