Is it true that the repentance, acts of worship, and supplications of the oppressor are not accepted, and that he will not be requited unless the oppressed forgives him, and that retribution against the oppressor will occur in this world and the Hereafter?

Injustice is among the most heinous crimes, and God does not overlook the rights of His servants. Rather, retribution for them is inevitable in the Hereafter. If the oppressor does not seek forgiveness from the oppressed or return what was wrongfully taken, then retribution will be exacted from him in the Hereafter. He will be given from his good deeds an amount commensurate with the injustice he committed. If he has no good deeds, then some of the oppressed person's sins will be taken and cast upon him. It is not true that an oppressor's worship or repentance is not accepted; rather, the right of the oppressed remains a debt upon him until he fulfills it.

This is what the narrations of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, indicate, such as: "Whoever has wronged his brother in terms of his honor or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today, before there is no dinar or dirham..." and the narration about "the bankrupt one from my Ummah." Indeed, Allah Almighty is a Just Judge, and not even an atom's weight is lost with Him.
