Is the narration reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and from Abdullah ibn Amr, which mentions a dialogue between the angels and Allah Almighty concerning the preference of the children of Adam, and which states: "O Lord, You have created the world for the children of Adam, in which they eat, drink, wear clothes, and marry; so grant us the Hereafter as You have granted them the world. He said: 'I will not.' Then they repeated it. He said: 'I will not.' Then they repeated it. He said: 'By My glory, I will not make the righteous among My creation whom I created with My Own Hands like those to whom I merely said: 'Be,' and it was," authentic?

This narration, attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has been reported with very weak chains of transmission. Among them is what Al-Tabarani narrated in "Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabir" and "Al-Awsat" from Safwan ibn Sulaym, from 'Ata' ibn Yasar, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr. The chains of these narrations include Ibrahim ibn 'Abdullah ibn Khalid Al-Massisi and Talhah ibn Zayd, both of whom are liars.

It was also narrated with weak and disturbed chains of transmission from 'Urwah ibn Ruwaym Al-Laythi. In one narration, it is from Anas ibn Malik; in another, from an unknown Ansari; and in a third, from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah. 'Urwah ibn Ruwaym often transmits narrations mursal (without a complete chain back to the Prophet).

It was also narrated from Zayd ibn Aslam, either as a severed narration (maqtu') attributed to him or as a suspended narration (mawquf) attributed to 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr. Its chain includes 'Abdullah ibn Salih, the scribe of Al-Layth, who, though truthful, made many mistakes. It is more likely that the origin of this report is from the Isra'iliyyat (narrations from Jewish or Christian sources), which are not to be used as evidence.
