What is the authenticity of this hadith: "Sufficient for me is the Lord from His servants; sufficient for me is the Creator from His creation; sufficient for me is the Provider from those provided for; sufficient for me is He who is sufficient for me; Allah is sufficient for me, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs; Allah is sufficient for me, there is no god but He; in Him I have placed my trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne"? And is it permissible to act upon it and supplicate with it if it is weak?
The aforementioned Hadith is weak and not authentically attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Sheikh Al-Albani has deemed it weak in several books. There is no harm in supplicating with it, as its words do not contain anything that contravenes Islamic law. One should supplicate with it as a prayer, and not as a Hadith.
