Who are the needy (al-masakin), and do they include a domestic worker and a messenger? And where can they be found so that one can give charity to them?

If a messenger and a maid do not possess enough for themselves and those they support, then they are indigent (masaakeen), and it is permissible to give them zakat. The indigent can be found everywhere, and one can seek assistance from scholars, preachers, and charitable organizations to find them.
