How can one reconcile the fact that the 'tremor of the Hour' (زلزلة الساعة) occurs after the blowing of the Trumpet, with its description in the Quran where Allah Almighty says: "On the Day you see it, every nursing mother will be diverted from that which she nursed, and every pregnant female will drop her burden," (Q. 22:2), so how can there be nursing and pregnancy after the blowing of the Trumpet?

The Day of Judgment is a momentous day when "every nursing mother will forget her infant, and every pregnant female will drop her burden, and you will see the people intoxicated, yet they will not be intoxicated." Scholars have differed on the timing of this event. Some are of the view that it occurs during the earthquake of the Hour, before people leave this world, while others hold that it takes place on the Day of Judgment after resurrection from the graves. This latter view is the most preponderant, supported by authentic texts. The issue of the absence of pregnancy or nursing on the Day of Judgment has been addressed in two ways: First, that a woman who dies pregnant will be resurrected pregnant and will deliver her burden due to the intensity of the horror. Second, that this is a metaphor for the extreme intensity of the horror.
