Should one discuss with one's brother his wife's pregnancy and childbirth a short time after their marriage, given suspicions about the timing of the pregnancy, or should this matter be concealed?

If an infant is born less than six months after the marriage contract, the child is not attributed to the husband, nor is the husband obligated to financially support him. Instead, the child is attributed to his mother, and the rulings of filiation apply to him with her. The husband must be advised not to attribute the newborn to himself if the birth occurred before six full months from their legitimate cohabitation. This does not contradict the discretion (ستر) required by Islamic law. Marrying a woman pregnant from zina is a matter of scholarly disagreement among jurists, but since the marriage has taken place, it is considered valid.
