What is the meaning of the Hadith: "Verily, we find in ourselves what one of us would deem too awful to speak of." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Have you indeed found that?" They said: "Yes." He said: "That is clear faith," and does it include intrusive thoughts?

A person is not held accountable for the whispers (waswas) that afflict them, but they must not indulge in them. Disliking, hating, and feeling aversion towards these whispers is a clear sign of faith, as stated in Sahih Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said regarding the whispers: "That is clear faith."
