Is a general intention of reading the Qur’an sufficient for attaining reward, healing, and guidance, or must the intention be specified for each benefit separately?

A Muslim must direct their acts of worship solely to Allah the Almighty. If one recites the Quran intending to seek healing or relief from distress, in addition to seeking the Countenance of Allah, then there is no harm in that. However, if someone intends by their action only worldly benefits without regard for the reward in the hereafter, then this is impermissible. The primary purpose of worship is to seek Allah and the hereafter. Along with this, one may also intend worldly good things as a secondary aim, not as a primary one. It is not required to specify a particular intention for each recitation; rather, a single intention that encompasses both religious and worldly aims is sufficient.
