Did Allah send a prophet or messenger to the jinn before Muhammad (peace be upon him)? And if not, are they considered among the people of the Fatrah?

The jinn have not had prophets or messengers sent from among them; rather, there were warners (mundhirun) from among them, as confirmed by the Almighty's saying: "And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a group of the jinn, listening to the Qur’an. And when they attended it, they said, 'Listen quietly.' And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners." Allah Almighty specifically chose the prophecy and messengership for the Children of Adam, and made warners from among the jinn, as confirmed by His saying: "He selects for His mercy whom He wills," and His saying: "Allah is most knowing of where He places His message." The jinn are not among the people of the fatrah (a period without messengers), for the argument has been established against them by the warnings, and the lack of sending messengers is sufficient for conveying the message to them.
