What is the ruling on one who pays the price of wine?

Khamr (wine/alcohol) is the mother of all evils, and drinking it or assisting in its consumption is among the major sins. It is impermissible to sell or buy it, and whoever does so is cursed, due to the Hadith: "Ten are cursed concerning Khamr: its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, its drinker, its carrier, the one to whom it is carried, its server, its seller, the one who consumes its price, its buyer, and the one for whom it is bought." Whoever commits this must repent and seek forgiveness.
