Are Christianity and Judaism truly heavenly religions?

The description "heavenly religions" applied to Judaism and Christianity requires clarification: If what is meant are their original forms, which were revealed to Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them), and the guidance and light contained in the revealed Torah and Gospel, then they are indeed heavenly religions. Islam then perfected and abrogated them.

However, if what is meant are the beliefs held by Jews and Christians today, which are distorted doctrines, altered scriptures, and abrogated laws, then this description is invalid; because distortion severed their connection to heaven, making them earthly religions.

It is permissible to use the term "heavenly religions" in the context of discussing them after the Prophetic mission of Muhammad, if the intent is their originally revealed form, and not their distorted and abrogated current state. This is what many scholars, such as Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Baz, and Ibn Uthaymeen, have used, while emphasizing that Islam abrogated all previous heavenly religions, and it is the only religion acceptable to Allah now.
