Is the wife entitled to ask her husband for special personal allowance if he is already providing well for her?

A husband must provide for his wife equitably. She may ask him for more than that out of benevolence, and it is commendable for him to grant her request if he is able, for this fosters good companionship and promotes affection. If he does not grant her request, there is no blame on him.
