What is the ruling on a treatment where the therapist claims to transfer illness from the patient's body to a water bottle, which then changes color to red and shows something floating in it, knowing that this treatment is illogical and impossible both rationally and scientifically?

This type of treatment is considered sorcery and seeking help from jinn to deceive the patient, because the correct treatment is either through legitimate means, such as Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism), or through known material medical means, such as medicines and surgeries. Since the mentioned treatment does not fall under any of these categories, it is impermissible and involves seeking help from jinn. It is not permissible to attribute a cause for healing that has not been proven legislatively (by Sharia) or factually (by research and experimentation); for that is a type of Shirk (polytheism). Sheikh Al-Saadi mentioned that relying on something that is neither a legitimate nor a factual beneficial cause is Shirk and a deficiency in intellect, and a believer must abandon it to perfect his monotheism and faith.
