The answer

It is permissible, according to Islamic law, to perform cosmetic surgeries to remove a disfiguring birth defect that causes harm, deformity, or illness. An example of this is breast enlargement if its size exceeds the normal limit and can be surgically treated. It is also permissible to remove skin cracks and pigmentations after childbirth if they cause a hideous disfigurement and cannot be treated except by surgery. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has ruled that cosmetic surgery is permissible to restore the shape of body organs to their natural state, to correct congenital and accidental defects, and to remove ugliness that causes psychological or physical harm.
