Who is the noble Companion Julaybib?

Julaybib (may Allah be pleased with him) was of unattractive appearance but excellent character. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sought for him the hand of the daughter of a man from the Ansar. In a battle, Julaybib was martyred, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) found him killed after he had slain seven enemies. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) embraced him and said: "This one is from me, and I am from him."
