Is it permissible for Muslims in Kashmir to perform their prayers on the roadside with the intention of demonstrating solidarity and unity to Indians, or is this action contrary to the Quran and Sunnah?

Praying in the middle of the road is prohibited because it inconveniences people and reduces the worshipper's devotion. The fundamental principle is to perform the five daily prayers in mosques. However, if there is a valid excuse that permits not praying in the mosque, and they wish to demonstrate the unity and solidarity of Muslims to non-Muslims, then there is no objection, but with conditions: that it be in a part of the road that does not obstruct passersby, that the country's regulations do not prohibit it, and that it does not lead to any harm, such as violating public order. This benefit can also be achieved by gathering in a spacious and accessible place, such as a park or an Eid prayer ground, which is better and further removes the possibility of harming others.
