Is it permissible to put the Mushaf in a luggage bag and ship it with the baggage during travel?

There is no harm in placing the Mushaf (copy of the Quran) in a clothing bag during travel, provided that the clothes directly touching it are pure. It is preferable to place it in the upper pocket of the bag or on top of the clothes. There is also no harm in checking the bag with the luggage, though it is recommended to place a note indicating the importance of its safety.
