If your fiancé has formally contracted marriage with you (aqd) and provides for your expenses, he has the right to prevent you from working, and you must obey him unless he commands something disobedient. This obedience is not weakness but strength of faith.

If you stipulated in the marriage contract that you would continue working, or if he does not provide for you, then he does not have the right to prevent you from working.
