How is the temporal ceiling arranged between admonition, abandonment in the sleeping place, and striking?

Allah guides the husband, if his wife is disobedient (nashaz), to deal with her in stages: he should admonish her, then forsake her in bed. If she does not mend her ways, he may strike her a non-injurious blow. This is a blow that does not break a bone or disfigure a limb, and it should be with a siwak (tooth-cleaning twig) or similar.

There is no specific time limit between these stages except between abandonment and striking. Its maximum duration, according to scholars, is one month, and it is also said to be less than three days.
