What is the ruling on a husband who forsakes his wife verbally and in bed for a period that may reach three months?

What a husband does by abandoning his wife verbally and in bed for a long period without a legitimate Shar'i reason contradicts good companionship and benevolence, and leads to animosity. It may also push the wife to do what displeases Allah. Allah Almighty says: "And live with them in kindness," and "Then [it is] retention with courtesy or parting with benevolence."

Abandonment in bed is permissible for a legitimate reason, such as insubordination (nushooz). There is no specific duration for abandonment; the Prophet, peace be upon him, abandoned his wives for a month. Abandonment is not the first remedy for insubordination; rather, it is preceded by other matters.
