Your husband is mistaken if he believes that Allah did not create or ordain this pandemic, for Allah is the Creator of all things. This does not contradict the fact that the pandemic may have causes ordained by Allah, as He is the Creator of both the cause and its effect. Allah has profound wisdom in ordaining pandemics, and much of it may be hidden from us. This pandemic—though evil in itself—like other evils ordained by Allah, yields great benefits and good things. Allah does not attribute evil to Himself; rather, evil is in His creation.
