Is praying in the Grand Mosque by car better than praying in a mosque near one's home by walking?

Scholars have differed regarding the multiplication of the reward for prayer by one hundred thousand: whether it is specific to the Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) where the Kaaba is located, or if it includes the entire Haram area. It is preferable to go to the Sacred Mosque to perform prayers there, even if by car, to obtain all the agreed-upon reward, and to pray with a larger congregation. A man's prayer with another man is purer than his prayer alone, and his prayer with two men is purer than his prayer with one man, and what is greater in number is more beloved to Allah the Almighty. The reward increases even more when praying near the Kaaba, for the multiplication of prayer is general throughout the entire Haram of Mecca and in all mosques of Mecca, though prayer at the Kaaba is superior. Attending prayers in the Sacred Mosque is a virtue in terms of place, number, and antiquity.
