To what extent is the authenticity of the Hadith: "If you adorn your mosques and embellish your Qurans, then destruction be upon you"?

The Hadith you mentioned was narrated by Al-Hakim Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Al-Mubarak, and Ibn Abi Layla from Abu Darda, and also by Ibn Abi Layla from Abu Hurayra. Ibn Abi Layla's narration is: "If you adorn your mosques and embellish your Qur'ans, then destruction (ad-dabar) is upon you." Ad-dabar means destruction. Al-Albani graded Al-Tirmidhi's narration as sound.
