It is not permissible to abort the fetus, and attempting to abort it by using means of abortion has the same ruling as abortion itself, because the means take the ruling of the ends. However, by themselves, they do not entail an expiation (kaffarah) or a bloodwit (ghurrah). It is obligatory to cease from them and repent from them, especially if there is a confirmed or probable pregnancy.
