What should someone do if they experience a wet dream and are unable to perform ghusl due to illness or another excuse, but they are able to perform wudu? Should they perform wudu or tayammum for prayer given the availability of water? Is it permissible for them to pray and lead people in prayer? Should they make up the prayers after the excuse is no longer present? Is it permissible for them to recite the Quran, seek forgiveness, and invoke blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah? Is it permissible for them to enter the mosque?

If one is in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah (definition)) and is unable to perform ghusl (definition) due to a valid excuse, he should perform tayammum (definition) and not wudu, because wudu does not remove major ritual impurity. If he prays with this tayammum, he is not required to make up the prayer. It is also permissible for him to lead people in prayer, as Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) did. It is permissible for him to enter the mosque for prayer or other purposes after performing tayammum, and to recite the Qur'an, perform dhikr, and send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), regardless of whether he has performed tayammum or not.
