How can the sun prostrate beneath the Throne and return to its setting place, knowing that it is in constant motion and does not return to any place?

Whoever delves into understanding the prophetic hadiths and Quranic verses must not start from assumptions they consider self-evident without scientific proof. They must strive for objectivity and abandon the obsession with contradictions. Asserting that the sun does not return to any place is incorrect, as even leading astronomers cannot definitively confirm this. One must be diligent and verify in scientific research, as opposing the Sunnah with mere assumptions is a serious matter, for humans are weak and ignorant of the universe's secrets. New movements and orbits for the sun have been discovered that were previously unknown, which demonstrates the magnificence of Allah's creation.

If there is no definitive scientific negation of a certain matter, then one should not disregard or question the implications of the texts. Al-Khattabi states that the sun's resting under the Throne is news of the unseen, so we neither deny it nor interpret its modality. The rising of the sun from its west is a reversal of the cosmic order and an end to this world. Thus, "the sun's return" means its rising from its west, which is a possible unseen matter reported by revelation, and there is nothing in definitive scientific knowledge to negate it. This event will occur when the world order collapses, the world perishes, and the Day of Judgment arrives.
