What is the ruling of the Sharia regarding a woman who stipulated residence in Aleppo, but then her husband took her out to Sarmin, whereupon she became recalcitrant with her family, demanding residence in Aleppo or a divorce?

If the wife stipulated that she would not leave her country and the husband agreed, then he is obligated to fulfill this condition. The wife is not considered disobedient (nashiz) if she refuses to return until the husband fulfills his condition. Reconciliation is advised, and the wife's guardian or wise individuals should intervene to remind the husband of the obligation to fulfill his promise. If the husband insists on refusing, then the wife has the right to seek a divorce.
